Our beloved Sr. Mary Charles went home to the Lord on June 10th. She was a true religious of the Visitation, professed for 55yrs. Sister served the community in many ways over the years especially in the kitchen and the "proc's office" (caring for and giving out needed supplies and equipment). Her gracious and jovial spirit always added laughter and smiles in community life. As we commend her into the arms of her beloved, we humbly beg you to join your prayers to ours for her soul and for those who loved her.
It is our custom to honor Our Lady in the month of May and on the Feast of the Visitation, there is a procession and crowing on one of the statues in the monastery. This year the statue in our chapel was honored, and Our Lady insisted that a crown also be given to her Infant King!
Our Dear Sr. Gemma Maria went home to the Lord on January 17th. Although physically bound in a wheelchair for most of her life due to polio as a child, she was an ever active member of our community, especially as a seamstress for the sisters and for priests as she loved to create vestments for the their use at Holy Mass. Sr. Gemma had a lively spirit and a joy-filled soul. We will miss her dearly but know that now she can dance with Jesus! Please keep her soul in your prayers and know she continues to pray for you.
Our dear Sr. Marie Isabel, age 92, 62 years professed, went home to Our Lord on Friday, July 30th. Please join us in praying for our sister and celebrating the joy of her life on Tuesday, Aug 3rd @ 10:30am for her Funeral Mass.
Our Sisters draw from the wisdom of Venerable Fulton Sheen as he teaches. " The Holy Hour became like an oxygen talk to revive the breath of the HolY Spirit in the midst of the foul and fetid atmosphere of the world"
Learn to trust in the Heart of Jesus through the wisdom of 'The Good Mother' (Mother Mary de Sales Chappuis) as she calls us to unite our whole selves tot he Lord and to cut short those negative thoughts
This month our sisters touched on the special graces of this jubilee year of St. Margaret Mary and the importance of the Holy Hour in Reparation to His Heart!
The Marians of the Immaculate Conception, our dear chaplains, have graciously printed the Stations of the Sacred Heart which are now available on their website. We encourage you to go deeper into the mystery of His Love through this unique devotion.
