In this Sacred Heart talk, we are reminded how easy it is to ignore the promptings and words of the Lord. He is there speaking, but how many times are we caught up in our daily duties or comfortable routine and fail to respond to His call. We are reminded of this particularly through Scripture as the people again and again ignore the message of Jesus and the Israelites show us repeatedly how they fail to trust in the Lord.

In this month's Sacred Heart talk, let us look to the Heart of Christ, a sign of contradiction. This was first noted by Simeon as Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple. Recalling this, our sister looks into the misery of the human heart, the sufferings of the world, and especially our struggle against self as we strive to become more and more like the Sacred Heart.
