November 23, 2015 marks the first anniversary of the death of our dear Sister Alice Marie Landers. The Solemn Office of the Dead was chanted throughout the day as we remembered Sister Alice Marie. She was our choir directress, organist and so her memory for all she has done for the Community will always be cherished! May she rest in peace!
Pro Orantibus Day, 2015 Pope Francis has set Nov. 21, the Feast of the Presentation of Mary, as a day to pray for and support cloistered religious. It is called Pro Orantibus Day (“For those who pray”), also known as World Day of Cloistered Life. In the diocese of Springfield, MA we have our Dominican Sisters in West Springfield and this Monastery of the Sisters of the Visitation. Please pray for us!
Saturday November 7, 2015 is the First Saturday of the Month. We invite you to join with us at 9:45 AM as we Sisters pray the Rosary to fulfill Our Lady's request to make reparation for the offenses against her Immaculate Heart. If you cannot come, please take time to pray the rosary sometime during the day. God bless you!
