Mother Chappuis was a fervent and dynamic superior in France whose love for the Heart of Christ and persistence in doing HIs will helped to form many other souls and create the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. This Sacred Heart Talk was given February 2, 2025
Our beloved Sr. Mary Charles went home to the Lord on June 10th. She was a true religious of the Visitation, professed for 55yrs. Sister served the community in many ways over the years especially in the kitchen and the "proc's office" (caring for and giving out needed supplies and equipment). Her gracious and jovial spirit always added laughter and smiles in community life. As we commend her into the arms of her beloved, we humbly beg you to join your prayers to ours for her soul and for those who loved her.
"You are right to put your trust in My merciful goodness, for I am faithful to My friends and ll that I promise them I can give them. I ask only that you not tire of waiting upon Me"
It is our custom to honor Our Lady in the month of May and on the Feast of the Visitation, there is a procession and crowing on one of the statues in the monastery. This year the statue in our chapel was honored, and Our Lady insisted that a crown also be given to her Infant King!
Not even the best psychotherapists can liberate our conscious and subconscious psychic life as surely as does a new heart-to-heart relationship with Jesus"
By zeroing in on the Lord's words in scripture and the promises He has given us to be always with us, we can take solace in the fact that everything will turn out OK. Now that doesn't mean that I won't have to struggle and that it won't be painful. But it does mean that leaning on the Lord and trusting in His Help, I will be given the strength, faith, and courage I need to get through it all"
"Against the backdrop of never-ending troubles, the little joys are all the more delightful; a simple meal with family and friend, unexpected help from a neighbot, an encouraging word.."
"My peace is eternal, does not pass, and cannot be destroyed my man...When you make your hearts similar to mine, then you will also receive the peace of My Heart and you will be healed from your fear"
Our Dear Sr. Gemma Maria went home to the Lord on January 17th. Although physically bound in a wheelchair for most of her life due to polio as a child, she was an ever active member of our community, especially as a seamstress for the sisters and for priests as she loved to create vestments for the their use at Holy Mass. Sr. Gemma had a lively spirit and a joy-filled soul. We will miss her dearly but know that now she can dance with Jesus! Please keep her soul in your prayers and know she continues to pray for you.
